Update: Yes, I'm still playing!

Busy, busy, busy. I have been spending free time to further my banjo playing and
meet others, participate in the fourstring forum, and even buy another banjo.
I've neglected this website and it's time to change that.

I did it! I got a VegaVox! Not bad for three months after buying the Gold Tone.
I will sell the Gold Tone because the neck is not suitable for my fingers. The
Vox and Tyler Mountain banjos are similar on the fingerboard. Their not similar
in quality by any means but the TM is a better backup and a lightweight
strolling banjo. The VegaVox I was made after Vega was sold to Martin. I noticed
that the frets snag on my fingers. I'm going to have the frets smoothed. The
fretboard is fast and fit my fingers perfectly. The sound is second to none.
Kurt Abell gave me advice that was passed to him from Dave Marty. I will be
taking that advice. I'm looking forward to improving my skills on this banjo and
the quality of the sound and playability means I don't need another banjo. I
will only buy Voxes if I buy more banjos.

I will be accompanying Jim at the FIGA Convention in August. We are rehearsing
three songs at each of my lessons. I'm also getting ready for Allenberry next
year. It's never too early to start.

I will have a special treat on this website soon. It's a surprise so I will not
let the cat out of the bag.

I got an email from Alan Hamilton in western Maine. He is part of a banjo club
there called 'The yet to be Named Banjo Club.' They have a great playlist and
sound like they are having fun.

More soon.
